Reyes Market in Carpinteria

Pulled off the 101 without a plan, but starving, of course. My expectations were low. By chance I came upon Reyes Market. I ordered two chicken tacos— the best tacos I’ve ever had! Seriously!! The meat was tender and perfectly spiced, and the garnish was generous. The friendly, fast service (and clean restroom) were most welcome, too! If only every pit stop was so lucky. I will be back!

Great food, incredibly friendly and helpful staff who helped us dicipher the menu, let us taste drinks before deciding, and brought over a free taster of prickly pear. More of a shop with tables than a cafe, but would thoroughly recommend it.

I was on vacation and came across this great lil spot. Relaxing out door seating and some very good food! The Mole was delicious! Can't wait to come back for a visit.

Great food, price is a little high but authentic food so... If you order to go, check your order before you leave. The owners are great local family!

These 5 stars reviews are lies. I went to there during my lunch break called ahead to order a burrito it said it was 7.50 turns out he "hasn't updated his website in ten years"....! The burrito was almost double coming out to 13 dollars!!! came with no chips. The meat cuts inside was hardly anything and horrible quality. The most expensive worst burrito I've ever had. Avoid like the flu!!!

If you like expensive, mediocre Mexican food - this place will fit the bill.

My 1st time here this place is great food is delicious I had the super Asada burrito large enough for 2 meals for some people I ate mine in 1 sitting everything is homemade and fresh nice family owned market & restaurant try it if in the area

It is one of the authentic Mex food you will find. Definitely a good place to visit. I have eaten here several times and no regrets.

Small family run market on North Carp Ave. I'm addicted to their bean, rice, cheese burrito. Authentic. Make sure you stop at the salsa station. Been coming here for 15 years

Honestly, our burritos fell apart. Which sometimes that’s a good thing. But not this time. They overdid the sour cream and the ratios were way off. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and on my last two bites I bit down on some gristle. Not good. That being said, great environment and the people are friendly. The Tecate was ice cold. So yum. For a vegetarian burrito where beans and rice should be an incredible component, these weren’t that memorable. That’s all I think. Peace.

Best kept secret in Carp. Been coming here for sandwiches and their epic burritos since we ditched high school in the (cough cough) early 90's to eat here and they are still the best around. Try the fully loaded subs, or the awesome breakfast burritos. The chilaquiles burrito is a monster, you won't get anything this good anywhere else. There's also a pretty well-stocked market if you need to pick up some drinks or snacks for the road.

Great place for Mexican food. I'm kind of a creature of habit. The very first time I had the chile verde with nopales burrito I loved it! Been eating them ever since.

Kind of a dive looking place and not sure there is much English spoken here, but the tortas are the best you find anywhere. Portions are also huge. Order at the counter, grab fresh salsa and hot sauce at the salsa bar and take it outside to the patio to eat.

This spot knows how to satisfy their customers. Always with a super friendly approach. The food is reasonably priced, always flavorful and neat.

The tacos are not worth 4$ and the adobada is watery, the burritos to much beans not enough meet. The caldo de rez more like de verdura

2 “Asada” tacos for $8.84..The steak was absolutely terrible! Service was great! Salsa was great! Just don’t buy anything and you’ll have a great experience! Food is actually not quality at all! Complete poor quality food for VERY overpriced prices..

Amazing food and shop. tons of delicious goodies for cheap along with a great menu full of authentic mexican meals. get the homeade mango con chile its the beat ive had.

Had a carne asada burrito and it was good. At about 8" x 3" it was enough for 2 good munches. They also have a great selection of drinks and Mexican candy. Don't leave without grabbing a bag of pork rinds fried in house.

Great little market for lunch break. Love getting the chicken burrito. But you can go wrong with what you order. The salsas are great, and everything is fairly priced. Stop by and try for yourself. Or grab and go
